| NATIONAL TUMBLING SQUAD TRIALS |

To all Coaches, Clubs & members of National Squad,
National Tumbling Squad Trial
The Technical Committee had identified the weekend of 4/5th November as
a preferred date for the squad trial. However, members of squad, squad
coaches and a judge will be attending an event in the UK during this
weekend and it is necessary to postpone until another date. With
weekends taken with regional qualifiers and finals for ATT, the British
Tournament and a possible UK League it will not now be possible to hold
the squad trial before the end of the year. The squad trial will now be
held early in the New Year. The weekend of 6th/7th January is now the
date for the 2007 squad trial and I will be in contact with coaches &
clubs to identify a suitable venue
Whilst this is later than normal for the trial it will allow for the
current review of squad structures to be completed and provide tumblers
with sufficient time to prepare fully for the trials process. Further
information will issue in relation to the specifics of the trial but the
general standards required and elements to be assessed with not change
from last year. This does not mean that the standard required to gain a
place on squad will not have risen over the past 12 months ? that is
dependent on the standard of those who engage in the trials process on
the day(s).
