| TUMBLERS win all round at David Ward Cup |

On the 4th of November 9 Tumblers from the National Squad travelled to Gillingham, UK to compete in the David Ward Memorial Cup. The performances were outstanding. Ireland had eight girls Gillian Clarke, Jenny Ryan, Michaella Jannink, Natasha Nolan, Karyn Twomey, Jessica McFadden, Louise Kelly and Michelle Leacy competing in the 11 to 12 age group and one boy Jack Allen also competing in the 11 to 12 age group.
Gillian Clarke, Natasha Nolan, Jenny Ryan and Karyn Twomey qualified in 2nd, 4th, 6th and 8th place for the finals in the Girls section and Jack Allen qualified in 1st for the finals in the Boys section. Gillian competed round off 5 whips, flic, full in back out piked and stole the show and took the gold medal. Jack competed barani, whip, 5 flics, double tuck and took the bronze medal. In the team event Gillian, Jenny, Michaella and Natasha were on one team and took the team gold medal. Karyn, Jessie, Louise and Michelle were on the second team and they took the team bronze medal. Overall a great result with some very strong tumbling from these members of the National Tumbling Squad.
