Gymnastics In Ireland
Gymnastics is ever increasing in popularity in Ireland making us one of the largest Olympic sports in the country.
New clubs are springing up all over the country and our membership is growing every year so the future looks bright and full of opportunity!
Outside Gymnastics Ireland’s direct membership, gymnastics is a one of the few mandatory sports in the Physical Education curriculum in Ireland! Gymnastics Ireland is committed to working within this system to build the sport for the future.
Gymnastics Ireland is the National Governing Body (NGB) for the sport of Gymnastics in Ireland and is officially recognised as such by the Sport Ireland (SI).
Gymnastics Ireland is affiliated to the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG), European Union of Gymnastics (UEG), Olympic Council of Ireland (OCI) and the Federation of Irish Sport (FIS).

Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG), Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG), Trampoline Gymnastics (TRA), Rhythmic Gymnastics (RHY)
4 Non-Olympic disciplines
Acrobatic Gymnastics (ACRO), Tumbling Gymnastics (TUM), Gymnastics for All (GFA),

Gymnastics Ireland as an organisation is funded through 3 separate tiers of funding:
Public sector funding (ISC, Government Department fund etc...)
Internal finance (membership fees, core activities, commercial initiatives…)
Private sector sponsorship
