Irish Sport HQ, Dublin: Gymnastics Ireland is proud to announce the launch of our new High Performance Strategy 2020+. The strategy highlights how success will be delivered by Irish gymnasts on an international stage. See below a highlight video from the launch of the strategy featuring Paul McDermott from Sport Ireland, Jacky Wischnia from the European Gymnastics Union in addition to Gymnastics Ireland Chairman, Ger Rellis and CEO, Ciaran Gallagher...

Supported by Sport Ireland, the HP Strategy 2020+ clearly outlines the roadmap Gymnastics Ireland will follow to further develop Irish performance results on the international stage. One of the key resources underpinning the plan is the National Indoor Arena which was opened earlier this year as the new home of gymnastics in Ireland. This first class sports facility now plays a crucial part in the development of our gymnasts providing a world class national training base for the next generation of Olympians.

Speaking about the launch, CEO of Gymnastics Ireland, Mr Ciaran Gallagher said:

‘We have created a coherent and thorough strategy focused on people, programmes and facilities to drive the development of our performance system. I look forward to the coming years and seeing Irish performance results continue to improve on the World and Olympic stage as our gymnasts target final and podium finishes at major international events.’
