Devine completes first Trampoline World Championships for Ireland

18.11.21 Baku, Azerbaijan; Team Ireland gymnast Ryan Devine concluded competition at the 2021 Trampoline World Championships in Baku by ranking 44th in individual men’s trampoline competition with a total score of 101.560.
Speaking of today's competition Devine’s coach Simon Flannery said: “Very proud of Ryan today at his first World Championships and his first international competition in nearly 2 years. Coming away with two completed routines and Ireland’s best-ever finish at a Worlds is where he needs to be as we go into this new Olympic cycle. Lots of hard work ahead but i couldn’t be prouder of him today”
Gymnastics Ireland Performance and Technical Manager, Sally Johnson said: “Great to see Ryan competing at the world Trampoline Championships in Baku. His performance is the best by an Irish gymnast at this event and completes this year’s programme. Ryan will be preparing for a big competitive year next year targeting the World Cup circuit and Europeans which will be exciting for him and all at Gymnastics Ireland. Well done on all the preparation to Ryan and simon! Looking forward to 2022!”
Gymnastics Ireland CEO Mr. Ciaran Gallagher added: “It’s was great to see Ryan step out as our first representative at this event in many years. He is a gymnast with great potential for this Olympic cycle and can do for the trampoline discipline what gymnast such as Rhys, Meg & Emma have done for their respective disciplines. Congrats to Ryan and his coach Simon on a very promising return to the international circuit!”
