Gymnastics Ireland is looking for a Social Media Events Contractor - Expression of interest
17th August, 2026 |Gymnastics Ireland is the national governing body for the sport of gymnastics in Ireland.
Gymnastics Ireland is seeking a creative & savvy individual as freelance/3rd party social media contractor to support our national events programme, consists of 10-12 events per year (mostly weekends) and is largely based at the Sport Ireland Campus in Dublin.
This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to our dynamic and forward-thinking organisation, now one of the largest participation sports in Ireland and having come off the back of Ireland’s historic first ever Olympic gold medal in gymnastics at the Paris 2024 Games.
What we are looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Digital Arts or a related field
- Experience in digital communications, social media management or related roles.
- Experience working in a sports club, wider sports sector or with associated sports NGBs or brands is a plus.
- A creative mindset with a strong eye for design and detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Good video and photography skills.
- Good understanding of Canva and what drives engagement on Social Media platforms.
- Understanding of website content management systems is a plus.
- Self-starter with a proactive attitude and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
