450 Gymnasts compete on Day One of the Women's Level 2-4
20th November 2016, 00:00a.m. | National Series

Saturday, November 19th was a very busy date for Gymnastics Ireland. Kicking off a two day event in the UL Sport Arena were close to 450 gymnasts who took part in the Women's level 2-4 competitions which will be run throughout the weekend. The gymnasts competing were from a variety of age groups from u8 to over 13, with some of those making their very first competitive performance. They were treated to great support from over 1000 spectators who kept the bleachers packed throughout the day. The gymnasts involved were from clubs around the country who had flocked to the University campus in Limerick; from Mayo through to Antrim, form Down through to Wexford across to Waterford and Cork... with a strong midlands presence inbetween.
