High level of Acrobatic skills on show for final competition of 2016

5th December 2016, 00:00am | National Series

Day two of the Acrobatic Team Trophy competition took place yesterday with the Out of Age and FIG level acrobatic gymnasts taking to the sprung floor. The record entry numbers ensured that there was a packed schedule throughout the two days of competition and with it, a strong spectator ship in support of the gymnasts. With Gymnastics Ireland Performance and Technical Manager, Sally Johnson along with Acrobatics Performance Coach, Michael Hughes in attendance, the gymnasts were keen to impress and the performances reflected that.

There was a fantastic standard across all levels but in particular our FIG 12-18 category. This was the highest level on show for the competition and they did not disappoint with superb skills and entertaining  routines all round. Ballincollig Gymnastics Club put in some dominating displays and they claimed all but one of the Trophys on offer.
