Irish Rhythmic Gymnasts claim 3rd at the Luxembourg Trophy

Ireland have claimed their first ever medal in a Rhythmic Gymnastics FIG tournament.

The Team Ireland contingent of Anna Batmanova - Excel Gymnastics,  Anastasia Tsay - Elegance Gymnastics Club & Valeria Sapteboi - Elite Rhythmic Gymnastics Club, with National Performance Coach Kristina Rangelova finished just behind Russia in 1st and Luxembourg in 2nd.

A strong showing across all three routines from each of the girls across the two days provided the platform for the success. 

Anna Batmanova has qualified for the finals of the apparatus in all three apparati.

Congratulations to all three gymnasts on a fantastic result thus far!

Friday's scores were:

Anastasia Tsay - hoop routine - 12.45.

Valeria Sapteboi - hoop routine - 10.15

Anastasia Tsay - rope routine - 11.60

Anna Batmanova - rope routine - 13.50.

 

Saturday's scores were:

Valeria Sapteboi - clubs routine - 12.00

Anna Batmanova - ball routine - 13.00

Anastasia Tsay - ball routine - 12.45

Anna scored - clubs routine - 12.80
