20th & 21th May 2017; National Indoor Arena, Dublin: It was the fourth National Series competition weekend to be held in the National Indoor Arena and nearly 700 gymnasts took part in the Women’s Levels 2-4 All Around Championships. Over 1500 spectators were on hand to show their support. These spectators watched as the top 8 gymnasts from each level in each age group qualified on each of the apparatus through to the National Series Super Championships on 30th June - 2nd July. This showcase event will see the top gymnasts from all disciplines at all levels compete in the competitive highlight of the year and will be one event not to miss.
The excitement was added to on Saturday evening when live news came in about Rhys McCleneghan’s gold medal win on Pommel Horse at the World Challenge Cup in Croatia. Fans and gymnasts were able to watch his winning routine and medal presentation in the arena just before the medal ceremony.
Our resident media company Hello Deer yet again captured some spectacular photography of the event which can be viewed on our Facebook Page by clicking here. You can also view some amazing film footage.
