3 podium finishes for Irish Tumblers at 2018 Scalabis Cup

16th July 2018, Sport HQ, Dublin; Nine gymnasts represented Ireland in the tumbling discipline over the weekend at the 2018 Scalabis Cup in Santarem, Portugal, bringing home two bronze medals and one silver.
Bronze medallists were Molly Nightingale with a score of 119.1 in open female category, Lillian Kavanagh with a score of 28.2 in the under 15 category and silver medallist EAnna O’Heannaigh with a score of 29.9 in the under 15 category.
Commenting on their performance CEO of Gymnastics Ireland, Mr. Ciaran Gallagher said: “This was a great outing for our Tumbling delegation in what was one of the most significant international events these gymnasts have competed in. Multiple finals topped off with 3 podium finishes is great reward for all the hard work of the gymnasts and their coach Elaine Ryan. Congratulations to the entire delegation.”
Since 2012, the Scalabis Cup has been developing and stating its place as an international benchmark trampoline, tumbling & DMT competition, welcoming gymnasts from all over the world including Olympic gymnasts.
