Team Ireland wraps up competition at 2019 European Championships

11th April 2019: A busy week for Gymnastics Ireland as Men’s and Women’s Artistic gymnasts finished qualifiers today at the 2019 Individual European Championships in Artistic gymnastics in Poland, Szczecin.

The team was made up of Adam Steele, Emma Slevin, Meg Ryan & Meaghan Smith. Steele’s highest score was 13.900 on Vault, ranking 39 in All-Around, as for the Women’s, the highest score of 13.300 on Vault was for Slevin, ranking 32 in All-Around as a first year senior. This concludes competition for Team Ireland at the 2019 European Championships.

Commenting on the week’s competition Ciaran Gallagher, CEO Gymnastics Ireland said: ‘Congratulations to our men’s and women’s artistic gymnasts at the 2019 Europeans. First major international of the year underway and a great set-up for what will be a busy international season to year-end. Well done also to the clubs, coaches and judges who have supported the gymnasts to get here and throughout the championships.’
