Olympic Games dates set for 2021

30^th March 2020, Dublin: The new dates for the Tokyo Olympic Games have been set for 2021 from 23rd July until 8th August. The announcement was made by the International Olympic Council (IOC) this afternoon following an Executive Board meeting today. The year delay on the games was agreed after discussions with the Tokyo 2020 organising committee and the international sports federations as a preventative measure due to the ongoing global Covid-19 pandemic.

Gymnastics Ireland remains committed to working with our national partners the Olympic Federation of Ireland (OFI) & Sport Ireland to ensure 2021 is a games to remember!
