The National Series return to the Sport Ireland National Indoor Arena

7th November 2021; The Gymnastics Ireland National Series took place this weekend at the Sport Ireland National Indoor Arena for the first time in two years, with nearly 700 gymnasts competing across the disciplines of Men’s & Women’s Artistic and Trampoline for the National Teams Championships and All-Around competition and with 1500 spectators in attendance over the two days.

Commenting on the weekend Gymnastics Ireland Performance and Technical Manager Sally Johnson said:
“This weekend's event has been a remarkable challenge after two years since Covid-19 restrictions came into place. Our clubs and gymnasts have operated extremely well under the circumstances. Well done to all who have participated today in implementing the protocols to ensure we ran a safe and joyful event in-line with Sport Ireland Covid-19 Guidelines.
A special mention to our Trampoline gymnasts competing in the FIG Age Group category, showing great improvement ahead of next year’s Junior Europeans. Gymnasts also showed great improvement in the plus levels Women’s Artistic competition ahead of next year’s junior international events.
We are looking forward to getting back to a full events programme for 2022. Well done to all the events team who worked together to ensure a they the event this weekend ran smoothly.”

Attention now shifts to the upcoming GymSTART Challenge event next Sunday 14th November taking place here in the National Indoor Arena.
