The National Awards is an event that is designed to reward and recognise all those stand out performers and contributors to the sport of Gymnastics throughout the year.
The 2026 Marsh National Awards will be held in the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel Dublin on Saturday 5th December 2026.
NEW for 2026 - Youth Leadership Award
The Youth Leadership Award celebrates exceptional young members (13-17 years) who demonstrate outstanding leadership, peer mentorship, and volunteer contribution within their gymnastics clubs.
Award Purpose
- Encourage the Youth Voice: elevate the role of young people in shaping club culture and decision-making
- Recognise Contribution: acknowledge teens who assist in classes, event organising, adding to the positive vibe/ atmosphere in the club, and for peer support.
- Promote Retention: inspire teenagers to stay involved in gymnastics as leaders, role models, and young coaches.
Factors to consider in completing nominations include:
- Active Leadership: Demonstrates initiative in assisting with classes, club events, local displays and anything that supports the club
- Positive Role Model: Embodies the core values of respect, teamwork, fair play and sporting spirit
- Community Impact: Contributes to inclusive or developmental projects (such as GymSTART, GymABLE or club inclusion efforts)
Ideally, the nominees should actively support grass-roots participation, show personal development, advocate for their peers, and demonstrate at least two of the above.
