Experts Panel for The Floor 2026 announced

Gymnastics Ireland is happy to announce the experts panel for The Floor 2026.
Gymnastics Ireland's annual flagship participation display event – The Floor, returns to the Sport Ireland National Indoor Arena for its 11th year on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st May 2026. This event will see 44 teams and over 900 gymnasts performing in front of an audience and a panel of experts, to show everyone just how skillful, fun, entertaining & exciting display gymnastics is!
Returning this year for his forth edition, internationally recognised choreographer Alan McGrath will bring his wide expertise in choreography, performance presentation, staging, and artistic direction. The second returning expert is Tony McNicoll, leading UK host for Gymnastics for All events, with over 40 years’ experience as a gymnast and coach. Alan and Tony will be joined by internationally respected leader in the Gymnastics for All movement Lori Laznovsky.
The three experts will provide feedback and advice at the end of each performance, sharing their expertise in different fields of gymnastics and dance.

Lori Laznovsky
Lori Laznovsky is an internationally respected leader in the Gymnastics for All movement, with more than 25 years of experience developing inclusive gymnastics programs, festivals, and international participation opportunities. As the Program Director of Gymnastics for All and Emerging Disciplines for USA Gymnastics, she has played a pivotal role in expanding participation-based gymnastics across the United States and strengthening international collaboration within the sport.
A lifelong participant in gymnastics through the American Sokol Organization, Lori was a founding member of the USA Gymnastics for All Committee and helped introduce and develop TeamGym programs in the United States. She has organized U.S. delegations for multiple World Gymnaestradas and World Gym for Life Challenges, helping thousands of athletes and performers experience international cultural exchange through movement and performance.
In 2024, Lori was elected to the World Gymnastics, Gymnastics for All Committee for the 2025–2028 term, marking the first time the United States earned representation on that committee. Her leadership has helped elevate the visibility of Gymnastics for All both nationally and internationally while promoting accessibility, creativity, teamwork, and lifelong participation in gymnastics. Lori recently led the team that bid and won to host the 2031 World Gymnaestrada, the first edition to ever be awarded outside of Europe.
Throughout her career, Lori has been recognized for her commitment to building community through sport, fostering international friendships, and creating opportunities for athletes of all ages and abilities to participate in gymnastics. Her passion continues to shape the future of Gymnastics for All worldwide.
Alan McGrath
Alan McGrath is an Irish choreographer, creative director, and performer, and Director of Dizzy Footwork Dance Academy & Productions Ltd., based in Rua Red, Tallaght.
Alan’s work spans film, television, theatre, live performance, music videos, touring productions, and large-scale entertainment events. His screen credits include Disney’s Disenchanted as Dance Captain under director Adam Shankman, as well as Disney’s Epic Pilot, Vikings, The Tudors, Penny Dreadful, Little Women, Ireland’s Got Talent, The Voice of Ireland, ITV’s This Morning, and Eurovision 2013 and 2018 representing Ireland. He has also choreographed music videos for James Vincent McMorrow and Gemma Hayes.
Throughout his career, Alan has performed and collaborated with internationally recognised artists including Justin Bieber, David Guetta, Jessie J, Selena Gomez, Taio Cruz, Flo Rida, Westlife, and Jedward, appearing in major arena productions and tours across Ireland and internationally.
His theatre credits include productions at Cork Opera House, the Gaiety Theatre, Helix Theatre, The Civic Theatre, and St. David’s, where he has worked as choreographer, dance captain, assistant choreographer, and director on productions including Grease, Singin’ in the Rain, Hairspray, Shrek, Legally Blonde, School of Rock, and Beauty & The Beast.
Alan has also worked extensively in live entertainment and touring productions including Celtic Woman, the Westlife Farewell Tour, the MTV EMA Awards, Electric Picnic, and Duffy’s Circus. Additional creative direction credits include the Image Awards (2023–2025), Perform Ireland, Elite Southeast and large-scale seasonal productions at Tayto Park and the RDS.
Recognised for his expertise in choreography, performance presentation, staging, and artistic direction, Alan currently serves on the Gymnastics Ireland Floor Expert Panel (2023–2026) and was a judging panel member for the Golden Dance Awards Northern Ireland 2025.
Tony McNicoll
Tony is the UK's most sought after host for Gymnastics For All festivals.
Having been a gymnast and coach for the last 40 years, Tony's unique experience, enthusiasm and famously understated dress-sense have brought energy to events like Gymfest in Scotland and the London Festival of Gymnastics for over a decade.
A top career highlight for Tony was being part of the in-house presentation team at the 2018 European Gymnastics Championships at the OVO Hydro Glasgow. It was a huge privilege to be the local host for an international event and a huge buzz to Bring the excitement of elite gymnastics to his home country!
Tony spent several years with Scottish Gymnastics building a development programmes to help more people do more gymnastics more often.
As a motivational speaker, Tony has worked with over 30,000 people helping them realise the best of themselves and break free of the barriers holding back their potential.
Tony has helped hundreds of people recently achieve their goals in health and exercise through his personal training business, Free Yourself. It is Tony's mission to share the positive impact of learning how to move to as many people as possible, not just inside gymnastics. If they also want to learn handstands then that's a bonus!
Tony has been delighted to work with Gymnastics Ireland to develop the Floor over the last few years and to be part of this even larger event is such a joy.
