Gymnastics Ireland at World Gymnastics for All Colloquium

Gymnastics Ireland's Director of Participation, Inclusion & Club Development Aimi Baker and Participation Manager Angela Griffin attended the 2026 World Gymnastics for All Colloquium.
The World Gymnastics ‘Gymnastics for All’ Colloquium is a 4-day conference where the worldwide community gathers together to discuss challenges, brainstorm solutions and create new ideas to develop Gymnastics for All, promoting inclusion and peace through sport.
The 2026 edition took place from the 17th to the 21st of March, in Mexico City. Over 65 participants from 40 international federations took part, with representatives from all continents. The conference focused on Gymnastics for Tomorrow, the social impact of Gymnastics for All. The Colloquium benefits from the patronage of UNESCO, marking the second consecutive year of support from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation.
Gymnastics Ireland representatives had the honour to share insights presenting on three topics:
- The Gymnast’s Voice - Keeping Teenage Girls in Gymnastics
- Development of lifelong engagement in Gymnastics for All in Ireland, focusing on Adults
- GymABLE - GfA through the Disability Gymnastics Lens.
Gymnastics Ireland Director of Participation, Inclusion and Club Development, Aimi Baker said:

Being part of this Gymnastics for All worldwide community promotes a positive working relationships which benefits all nations and facilitates the growth of the discipline of Gymnastics for All”.

"It is always such a positive experience attending the World Gymnastics GfA Colloquium. Listening and learning from other federations from all over the world is really inspiring. We have made some valuable connections with other national federations and now have some amazing ideas to bring back to Ireland to continue to develop Gymnastics for All. Having the opportunity to present and share three of Gymnastics Ireland’s programmes was a huge honour and privilege."
