Ireland's Hilton and Slevin finish competition at the 2023 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships

02.10.23 Antwerp, Belgium; Ireland's gymnasts Halle Hilton & Emma Slevin competed in day 2 of the women's All-Around competition in Antwerp this evening finishing in 59th & 78th positions with total scores of 49.665 & 48.166 respectively.

Speaking of the competition Gymnastics Ireland's National Women's Coach Sandra Stevenson said: 

'On what was a very big occasion we are all very proud of the girls performances tonight. Going forward we have some areas to consolidate that will help us on our journey to Paris 2024. Thank you to everyone that has helped prepare the gymnasts. The coaches, judges, support staff and all the staff at Gymnastics Ireland.'

Focus now shifts to the men's Pommel Final which is due to take place this coming Saturday 7th October where current World Champion Rhys McClenaghan will defend his title. The Pommel final will take place at 3.50pm local time (2.50pm Irish time).
