Junior Women's team wins gold with Senior and Junior individual medal haul at Salamunov Memorial 2026

Maribor, Slovenia; Team Ireland's Junior Women's team takes home gold and seniors and juniors win 11 additional individual medals.

The junior girls finished in 1st place with a score of 138.062 led by Roisin Hickey who placed 1st in the all-around with a score of 47.065. Estella Volkoff finished just behind in 3rd with a score of 46.465. Lauren Kelly finished in 4th place scoring 44.532. Hickey qualified in three event finals where she took home the silver medal in Balance Beam with a score of 12.200 and gold medal on floor with a score of 12.200. Volkoff qualified in the Floor and Balance Beam finals where she took the silver on the floor scoring 11.400 and finishing her competition on Balance Beam winning the gold with a score of 12.900. Lauren qualified in the vault final in 9th place and finished in 9th place. 

Mimi Moloney won the senior all-around in 1st with a score of 49.798 and qualified in every final. She placed 3rd on both vault and beam in her finals. Teammate Blathnaid Higgins qualified to the vault and beam finals. She finished in 1st place on vault scoring 13.150, and 4th on beam. Kate Molloy qualified to the uneven bars final in first place and finished the final in 1st place scoring an 11.900.

Minor JJ Peters competed in her first ever international in the youth category. She hit 4 for 4 events and received in all-around score of 41.949. She placed 11th out of 88 gymnasts.
