McClenaghan, Montgomery, and Hickey qualify to finals at Antalya World Cup 2026

Gymnastics Ireland's men's artistic gymnastics team qualified three to finals at the 2026 Antalya World Cup held in Antalya, Turkey on March 12th. 

Rhys McClenaghan qualified to the pommel horse final in 3rd place scoring a 14.100 in qualifications. Teammate James Hickey also qualified in the pommel horse final placing 6th scoring a 13.800. Eamon Montgomery hit his floor routine and scored a 13.666 placing 5th and qualifying in Saturday's Final. 

Teammates Chester Enriquez put up a 13.300 on floor tying for 11th behind teammate Montgomery. Oisin O'Connell competed high bar and bested his score from Baku scoring a 12.866 placing him 15th. Daniel Fox competed in the still rings scoring a 12.433 with an unfortunate .3 penalty placing him in 15th. 

Olympic Coach, Luke Carson said:

"The boys had a decent day and happy with the results. Rhys was in great form. James did a good job and competes well. Eamon's work is clean and consistent and now have to focus on increasing his start value. On to finals."

Well done to all gymnasts, judges, and coaches for some outstanding results.
