Medal haul for Ireland at 2025 Caledonia International

Team Ireland's Women's Artistic team and Women's Acro teams competed in the 2025 Caledonia International this past weekend. Overall team results saw Ireland achieving a Bronze Medal for the Acro teams, and a 4th place for Artistic team.

Women's Artistics

In women's artistic, Lauren Kelly took home the gold medal in the balance beam final scoring a 12.100. She also competed in the bars and vault final narrowly missing out on the podium in the bar final placing 4th. A great achievement in a talented pool of gymnasts.

Teammates Skye O'Connor made vault, floor, and bars finals, and Thi Anh Forde made the beam and floor finals.

Coach Marisa Peters on Kelly's gold medal performance: "a solid performance from Lauren with a beautifully executed routine."

Women's Acrobatics

In women's acrobatics, three pairs and a group of three gymnasts achieved a total of four medals. Saerlaith McSweeney and Lucy Swinburne won gold in the pre-youth women's pair dynamic scoring a 26.200. In the pre-youth women's group balance, Emma-Lily Connors, Kayleigh Golden, and Ella Scanlon won bronze scoring 25.850. In the youth women's pair, Emily McCarthy and Ava Guiney won the gold medal while teammates Tara O'Neill and Clara Duffy followed with a silver medal.  

Head of Delegation, Victoria Pattison said, "The girls have been focused all weekend and had a great competition. This event has again helped with their international development and the girls are looking more confident every time they compete. Well done!"

Jillian O'Regan, Personal Coach to McSweeney and Swinburne, said "delighted for the girls. They had a great competition this weekend with three solid routines, holding on to the gold medal in today's final. It's been a great event to finish off the year. Well done, Lucy and Saerlaith! Great job!"

Michelle Sheehan, personal coach to McCarthy and Guiney, said "Delighted with today. The girls performed another solid routine to win gold and great experience gained this weekend."

Michelle O'Leary, personal coach to Connors, Golden and Scanlon, said "Happy with the girls' performance today. They upped their score from qualifications and secured the bronze medal. Great achievement for the girls at their first international representing Ireland."
