Mulholland wins bronze at Loulé Cup 2025

Team Ireland’s Fionnuala Mulholland wins Bronze in the Senior Women category with a score of 50.31.

Irish Trampoline Gymnasts delivered great performances out at Loulé Cup - most notably Fionnuala’s second international medal of the season, repeating her podium finish from Coimbra back in July.

Mulholland qualified to the semi-final in 3rd and made it through to the Final qualifying 8th. She went on to the Final on Saturday to score 50.31 which guaranteed her a Senior Women Trampoline bronze medal. An amazing achievement internationally. Teammates, Laoise Cox qualified to the finals as well finishing in 7th place.

Louise Carlin barely missed on a medal in the U13 girls category, finishing her final in 5th position. Matthew Byrne-Kane competed in the 13-14 boys category final, finishing 6th. Jay Downey competed in the Junior Men category final, finishing 7th. Fiadh Rogers qualified for Finals in the 13-14 girls category, but suffered a minor injury in warmup, which stopped her from competing in the final.

Jay Scouler, Trampoline National Performance Coach, commented on the Irish team performance "The progress our gymnasts are making on the international stage is testament to a wider team effort supported by their coaches, our clubs and Gymnastics Ireland. I am proud of what we have achieved to date and am excited to see what the future holds."

Head of Trampoline Colm Galligan said "Massive congrats to Fionnuala on a brilliant bronze medal in senior women's at the Loulé Cup in Portugal, her second 3rd place finish on the international stage in a row.
We’re incredibly proud, results like this show how far our trampoline program has come in recent years. Hard work, diligent coaching, and great support, it's all starting to yield results.
