Silver and 8 finals for Irish Men’s team at Luxembourg Open 2024

Luxembourg; Irish Men’s Senior Team hit silver today at the Artistic Gymnastics Luxembourg Open Team Final.

The team also secured eight apparatus finals with Adam Steele ranking 4th All-Around (AA)and qualifying in Floor, P. Bars, Rings and Pommel, while Daniel Fox ranked 9th AA and qualified in P. Bars, Floor and High Bar. Teammate Oisin O’Connell also qualified for the High Bar final in his debut senior competition.

Commenting on today’s performance, Gymnastics Ireland National Coach Sergey Sizhanov said:

“The team finished 2nd behind a very strong Netherlands Team, with Adam Steele narrowly missing out on the all around Bronze. A few mistakes throughout the day, but overall a great team effort. All the boys from the Team have made finals so very excited for tomorrow for them to show how hard they’ve worked.”
