Throwback Thursday: Timelapse - Northern Euros event build…

Its coming up on 1 month since we hosted Ireland's first podium level event covering the 2024 'Next Gen' Championships & 2024 Northern European Championships!

This event represented a major strategic target achieved in the development of the Gymnastics Ireland events programme and acted as a pilot event for a regular podium level international in Dublin.

Key stats:

• Over 180 hours/15 days of man power to rig & de-rig the event including the podium, gymnastics equipment, audio/visual and arena branding
• 2 top level events delivered over 7 days including pre-event training and competition
• ⁠100+ people involved in all aspects of event organisation from planning, rig/de-rig, promotion, Field of Play operation, event presentation, spectator management, catering and medical
• ⁠4000 tickets sold
• 400 gymnasts competed over 2 events
• Top level gymnasts from 12 countries represented at the Northern Europeans
• Watched by fans in 11 countries via online streaming
• National & International media coverage secured
• Top level event presentation including Olympic Champion Rhys McClenaghan plus RTÉ Sports Marie Crowe & Shay Byrne as the in arena MC team.
• ⁠2000 kids from 20 national schools and 13 gymnastic clubs attended our ‘Meet Olympic Champ Rhys McClanaghan and Irish Team’ engagement day
