Trio Qualify for Final at the Flander's International Acro Cup

Puurs-Sint-Amands, Belgium; Team Ireland’s Katie Byrne, Lily Murphy & Ciara Kane qualified to the Balance routine final at the Flanders International Acro Cup.

The gymnasts qualified with a score of 26.150 in the balance routine. The gymnasts will compete tomorrow in the final at 11:00am Irish Time. 

The trio's comment on their performance:

"We are so excited to be in the final. It was our goal coming out here but you can never be too sure as the standard is so high and the amount of competitors for this was huge so we are really thrilled .We have worked hard and it's great to know that the hard work has paid off "

Commenting on their performance, Coach Aoife said:

"Our pre -youth women's group has performed spectacularly, earning their well-deserved spot in the final amidst tough competition. This trio will proudly represent Ireland at the European Championships next month in Luxembourg, providing a fantastic confidence boost as they prepare for this prestigious event. Our youth women's group had fantastic routines and missed out on a final by just one place but this has further motivated them in their preparations for Europeans. The excitement is palpable, and we couldn't be prouder of our athletes!"
