The National Performance Coach may select or invite gymnasts to trial/test onto National Squads following results from National Series events. All National Squad selections are subject to selection criteria and are approved by the Director of Performance & Technical.

Physiotherapy Appointment for Tier 3&4 National Squad Members

All gymnasts on National Squad tier level 3&4 can book physiotherapy appointments with Gymnastics Ireland tier 3&4 Physiotherapist, Elizabeth Melvin. Appointments are available at the beginning of National Squads. or at the mid-week clinics in the NGTC, that are run every 2nd week. Please see appointment link below for upcoming availability and advance booking.

1. National Squads

Elizabeth will be present at day 1 of your National squad only to;

1. Conduct booked in advance physiotherapy appointments for any gymnast(s) on our Tier 3 & 4 National Squad that have any injury concerns/ physical capacity limitations that will inhibit the gymnast's ability to complete all aspects of the National Squad programme.
2. All appointments will be booked in advance and will be billed directly to the club the gymnast represents. Please see booking link for appointment options and associated costs.
3. All information collected in relation to the appointment will be sent post appointment in an email, to the following:
   1. Parent, Guardian/ Carer of gymnasts u18, or for gymnasts over 18, direct to their own contact email.
   2. Club Coach
   3. Club Physiotherapist
   4. National Coach

2. Mid-week Clinic

Elizabeth will also be running a midweek evening clinic in the NGTC every 2nd week, for all the gymnasts on Tier 3&4 National Squad. These can be for follow ups between squad appointments or for anyone unable to source a club physiotherapist.

1. All appointments will be booked in advance using our online booking system and will be charged per appointment, billed directly to the club the gymnast represents. Please see booking link for appointment options and associated costs.
2. All information collected in relation to the appointment will be sent post appointment in an email, to the following:
   1. Parent, Guardian/ Carer of gymnasts u18, or for those gymnasts over 18, direct to their own contact email.
