3000 attend GymSTART Challenge Cork

The second GymSTART Challenge Cork saw over 750 gymnasts, near 100 volunteers and over 2000 spectators take to the Mardyke Arena in Cork for a huge day for participation gymnastics in this country. The one day event catered for the many non competitive gymnasts taking part in gymnastics here in Ireland and the demand for the event was immense. Clubs from Dublin, Waterford and of course Cork itself entered in huge numbers. Last year, the GymSTART Challenge Cork event saw over 200 take part, so the impressive increase in entries over one year shows that the sport of Gymnastics is growing on all fronts and throughout the country. A huge congratulations to all those who took part and to the many coaches, volunteers and supporters who contributed to a very successful day indeed.
