Gymnastics Ireland wins 2018 Sports Industry Awards National Governing Body of the Year

Irish Sport HQ, Dublin; Gymnastics Ireland are delighted to announce that we were awarded the National Governing Body of the Year at the Irish Sport Industry Awards 2018. The event took part yesterday 7th March in the Banquet Hall at Smock Alley Theatre, Dublin. 

Speaking of the achievement, Gymnastics Ireland CEO Mr Ciaran Gallagher, said: “A very proud moment for Gymnastics Ireland winning NGB of the year and an exciting endorsement of all the hard work undertaken by everyone involved from club to national level. Being nominated in such a strong category with our great friends from other sports was an achievement in itself, winning was definitely the icing on the cake”

Other winners on the night included Cork LSP who won Local Sports Partnership of the Year, AIG and Dublin GAA scooped Best Commercial Sponsorship and Fota Island Adventure beat off stiff competition to take Sports Business of the Year. 

The Awards recognise and reward excellence in the business of sport, whilst simultaneously highlighting the contribution of sport to Ireland. To see the full list of winners, click here…
