Over 5000 attend GymSTART Challenge in 2019

Over the last two weekends one of Gymnastics Ireland's key participation events, the GymSTART challenge saw 1,600 gymnasts; over 3500 spectators and nearly 100 chaperones & coaches from clubs all around the country taking part both at the National Indoor Arena in Dublin and at the UL Sports Arena in Limerick.

The demand and interest in this event, which caters for the many non-competitive gymnasts in Ireland, keeps increasing and indeed the entry numbers reflect this. This year, the entry numbers increased by 10% up on 2018, showing that the sport of gymnastics is growing on all fronts throughout the country.

Huge congratulations to all those who participated at the weekend and to the many coaches and supporters who contributed to these very successful events. We keep encouraging more clubs to take part in the coming years and join in the fun!
