Gymnastics Ireland CEO Ciaran Gallagher said: 'The 'free-to-air' broadcast deals agreed between the European Broadcast Union and European Gymnastics plus FIG represent a complete game changer in terms of regular national TV coverage for major international gymnastics championships in Ireland. Originally meant to roll-out in 2020 but impacted due to Covid19, it's been great to work with RTE over the past weeks regarding the upcoming coverage of the 2021 Europeans and I would like to thank our friends at RTE for their efforts. With Rhys, Adam, Emma & Meg now in Basel and in the final run down to competition it's great to see our gymnasts getting back to what they do best! We wish them all the best of luck!'
