Gymnastics Ireland presents "Applied Sports Psychology – Attention” webinar with Katie Richards

Gymnastics Ireland is proud to launch the 2021 Webinar Series with upcoming webinar “Applied Sports Psychology – Attention” presented with Katie Richards, performance and coaching scientist, on Friday January 29th.

Katie is a former Senior Sport Psychology & Coaching Science Lecturer at St Mary’s University, and has been a prominent figure on gymnastics scene for several years, offering sport psychology support to a number of clubs and coaches. Additionally she works for British Gymnastics, as the Coach Education Development Manager, as well as finding time to coach and tutor on a regular basis.

About this webinar

The “Applied Sports Psychology – Attention” webinar will be looking at the concepts that underpin attentional control and the strategies coaches can use in the long and short term to develop their gymnasts' attentional control and focus with regard to skill development and performance.

Who is it for

This virtual event is open to all Gymnastics Ireland members across all disciplines (who are 18 and over) with an interest in Sports Psychology. Its content is ideally suitable for Level 2 coaches and above who are coaching gymnasts at a high performance level.
