Gymnastics Ireland has secured and distributed €75,000 from the 'Sport Ireland Energy Support Fund (SESS)' for 18 clubs.

Gymnastics Ireland has secured and distributed €75,000 from the 'Sport Ireland Energy Support Fund (SESS)' for 18 clubs that applied to the new scheme that is designed to support sports facility operators with increased energy costs this winter.

Commenting on the funding CEO Ciaran Gallagher said...

'It is great that we have been able to secure this funding from the SESS fund for our clubs that applied through GI. I would like to thank both Sport Ireland and the Department for the creation of this specific fund targeted at sports clubs who own/operate their own dedicated sports facilities. The feedback we have had from the clubs following announcement has been that this funding will be a huge relief on already tight budgets under pressure from the current inflationary impact. We also understand many of our other clubs have been availing of government energy supports provided at local level. Again we welcome this as much needed support for our club network this winter & spring as we all hope for a stabalisation in energy costs going forward.'
