2025 - Gymnastics Ireland Year in Review

2025 was another incredible year for our sport. Gymnastics Ireland started the new Olympic cycle hitting record membership, record event entries, and launching a new strategy to guide our organisation all the way to LA 2028.
Some 2025 key highlights include...
- Increased membership 40k+ members.
- Launched new 'Strategy 2025-2028'
- First Irish sport to complete an Equality Review with the Irish Human Rights & Equality Commission who referenced Gymnastics Ireland as a benchmark for Irish sporting & cultural organisations
- 11k gymnasts & 30k spectators in national events
- Implemented 2 new app based scoring systems
- Started development of new Education Framework
- Delivered 4th year of club support conference Exchange
- Continued the rollout of GymABLE
- Awarded Bronze & Silver Active Disability Ireland Xcessible Awards
- Continue to expand influence through reps at national & international level (Sport Ireland, Olympic Federation of Ireland, European Gymnastics etc.)
- Launched new Club Focus Group programme to enhance conversation with clubs
- Rolled out new Gymnastics for All mentorship programme
- Attended the FIG World Gym for Life Challenge
- Launched the Rhys McClenaghan Club Tour - shortlisted for 2025 OFI Awards
- Welcomed 4 new Board members at AGM 2025
- Completed a redesign of the National Gymnastics Training Centre for the LA Olympic cycle
- Continued to hit High Performance Strategy target of 'final & medal potential' across all competitive disciplines
- Chester Enriquez - historic Gold & Bronze medal at European Youth Olympics
- Emma Slevin - 4th place Beam final at Paris World Cup
