2026 - The Year Ahead

After a successful 2025 national events programme with more than 11000 gymnasts involved and over 30000 spectators attending, 2026 will be another exciting year for gymnastics in Ireland with our National and International events calendar catering for participation and performance that will give gymnasts further opportunities to develop and shine.

The GymSTART Floor & Vault Competition will kick off the events for 2026. The two-days participation event in March will take place at the Sport Ireland National Indoor Arena in Dublin.

Same venue the following weekend, the National Series Spring National and Open Championships will provide the first competitive opportunity for Acrobatics, Women’s Artistic, Rhythmic, Trampoline and Tumbling gymnasts.

The national events calendar continues with the JumpSTART Competition in April, the National Series All Around & Apparatus Championships in May for all 6 disciplines, to finish the season with our flagship display event 'The Floor' on the last weekend of May.

The National Series events return in October with the National Series Team Championships for Trampoline, Tumbling and Acrobatics, followed by Men's Artistic, Women's Artistic and Rhythmic at the end of November.

November will be busy with participation events. Following the success of its first edition, GymSTART Floor & Vault Team Competition will return to Dublin as part of the Participation Weekend, together with the JumpSTART Competition. The last competition of 2026 will be GymSTART Floor & Vault Competition in Limerick.

To close out the year, the 2026 National Awards will return in December.
