520 gymnasts from 8 clubs at Rhys McClenaghan - Gymnastics Ireland Club Tour

520 competitive gymnasts and their coaches from 8 member clubs had the great opportunity to welcome Ireland's first ever gymnastics Olympic Champion Rhys McClenaghan to their facilities as part of the Gymnastics Ireland Club Tour, which kicked off on the 10th of June and concluded this week.

Each session featured an inspirational talk from Rhys, where gymnasts were motivated by his personal journey, including the highs and lows of his career and had the opportunity to ask questions and engage directly with him. This was followed by a coaching session in which Rhys actively participated offering tips and insights, moving around the floor to interact with athletes and assisting individuals in developing their gymnastics skills.

Each gymnast and coach had the special opportunity to hold Rhys' Olympic gold medal — a powerful reminder of what dedication and discipline can achieve, all while enjoying the journey.
