GymABLE
Gymnastics Ireland is proud to present GymABLE - an inclusive gymnastics programme targeted at providing gymnastics opportunities for people with disabilities.
This programme is an umbrella brand for all initiatives, activities, and events within Gymnastics Ireland (GI), GI members and member clubs that seek to include people with disabilities in any capacity within gymnastics, including as an athlete/gymnast, coach, judge, volunteer or other.
Our Disabilities Programme is supported by Sport Ireland Dormant Account Funds (DAF) and CARA, Ireland's national pan-disability sport organisation.
“Cara is delighted to work closely with Gymnastics Ireland at all levels and recognise the outstanding work and strategic direction undertaken by Gymnastics Ireland to support people with disabilities to engage, enjoy and excel in their participation within Gymnastics. It is clear to see the passion and drive of Gymnastics Ireland towards inclusion and it is fantastic to see the progress the organisation has made in this area over a number of years, particularly in how they are using the Sport Inclusion Disability Charter, Inclusive Coach Education & Xcessible Programmes to drive their ambition. We congratulate Gymnastics Ireland on their achievements thus far and look forward to continuing to work closely together in the months and years ahead.”

Inclusion Statement
"To value the ability and individuality of all members with a disability by taking all reasonable steps to provide each individual with the opportunities they need to reach their full potential as active gymnastics participants within an inclusive environment."
Gymnastics Ireland aims to promote, nurture & support:
- An inclusive culture, recognizing that every person is an individual and has their own learning style thus promoting disability inclusion throughout the sport.
- The identity of each person attending the sport and aim to ensure that their emotional and physical wellbeing is always of paramount importance.
- The provisions of inclusive environments and facilities at both national and club level.
The GymABLE programme is part of GI’s overall strategy, the GI Participation Strategy and Sport Ireland's wider strategy to ensure that all National Governing Bodies are inclusive organizations and provide opportunities for everyone, regardless of age, ability, disability, or gender.
