Gymnastics Ireland is looking for a Coach Education Support Contractor

Gymnastics Ireland is the national governing body for the sport of gymnastics in Ireland.

Gymnastics Ireland is seeking a Coach Education Support contractor to support our new education framework. The programme consists of 10-12 hours per week with our base of operations being at the Sport Ireland Campus in Dublin, however flexible work from home approach is standard.

This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to our dynamic and forward-thinking organisation, now one of the largest participation sports in Ireland and having come off the back of Ireland’s historic first ever Olympic gold medal in gymnastics at the Paris 2024 Games.

What we are looking for?

To support Gymnastics Ireland in the development and delivery of the new education framework.

Education and Experience:

  • A third level qualification in a sport-related or education field
  • Experience in a coach education/development role is desirable but not essential.
  • Previous experience using a Learning Management Systems is advantageous.
  • Gymnastics coaching qualification and a coach developer qualification is desirable but not essential.

Key areas of expertise & responsibilities include the following:

  • Support the Education Manager with all course administration and promotion.
  • Organise & administer all coaching and judging courses, liaising with clubs, members and GI tutors to ensure the successful delivery of all courses.
  • Organize and administer all Safeguarding courses when delivered through GI.
  • Ensure all Sport Ireland requirements around the awarding of coaching qualifications are completed correctly & promptly.
  • Check all coaches & judges' qualifications prior to a competition and ensure they are in full compliance with GI Policy.
  • Manage queries related to international coaching and judging qualifications and recognition of prior learning (RPL)
  • Review and verify all tutor invoices and ensure they are approved by the Education Manager & paid as quickly as possible
  • Work collaboratively across all departments in GI to promote new courses.
  • Support the set-up and delivery of conferences, tutor training and CPD’s.
